The selection process may include some or all of the following:
assessment of resume and work history
panel interview/s
pre-employment medical and supervised drug and alcohol test (including Mines Health Surveillance examination for some employees working at our Kwinana site)
psychometric assessments
reference checking
providing a National Police Clearance.
As part of the selection process you will need to provide:
an up-to-date resume
relevant cover letter
residency and visa entitlements
copy of qualifications and relevant licences
names and contact details of referees of current or recent managers.
Feedback and appeals are both sanctioned by Fremantle Ports:
You may seek feedback when you have been advised of your application outcome.
Feedback is normally provided verbally or you may request written feedback.
There is no formal appeal provision against another candidate, however, applicants have a right to lodge a grievance if they consider there has been a breach of selection standards.
Fremantle Ports endeavours to notify all candidates of their application outcome within 4-6 weeks, however, in some circumstances it may take longer. All applicants will be notified by email or telephone as to whether they have progressed to the next stage of recruitment.
