Arrival of the Australian Lighthouse service ship "Cape Don" on its maiden voyage. The vessel replaced the "Cape Otway" which retired after 32 years' service.

First visit of Lloyd Triestino's "Galileo Galilei" to Fremantle.

First visit of 28,000 ton Lloyd Triestino ship "Guglielmo Marconi".

After regular visits to Fremantle Port for many years and carrying thousands of immigrants and tourists, the ship made its last scheduled visit on 16 Nov 1975 before being transferred to the South American run.
