Fremantle Ports' new pilot boat 'FP Osprey' was launched on 2 July 1993. The Western Australian based company, Image Boat Builders, built the Osprey which is a 17 metre catamaran-type vessel constructed of welded aluminium.

August 1993

The 'MV Portland' built in Korea, made her 100th voyage during August 1993 and visited Fremantle Ports' Inner Harbour as part of the voyage. Between April 1988 and 1993, the vessel carried more than three million tonnes of alumina.
