A team worked around the clock to assemble seven modules for Woodside Petroleum's new Laminaria offshore oil and gas production vessel on wharf areas adjacent to Berths 11 and 12.
Laminaria, described as the world's biggest production, storage and offloading vessel, was to be located in the Timor Sea, about 550 kilometres west north west of Darwin.
The modules were built at Kwinana and brought to Fremantle to be assembled and fitted at North Quay and then shipped out from the port.
