"Southern Crossing', created by Western Australian artist Tony Jones, is described as a complex and interesting work that explored many themes associated with Fremantle Port as Australia's western sea gate.

Fremantle Ports' new ferry landing on Victoria Quay provides a direct link between Perth and central Fremantle for passengers on Swan River cruises.

The landing, named in honour of Inner Harbour designer, C.Y. O'Connor, is between B and C berths, opposite the E-Shed Markets.

The new ferry facilities were part of Fremantle Waterfront development taking shape at the western end of Victoria Quay.
