Fremantle Ports Sponsorship Guidelines
If you would like Fremantle Ports to consider supporting your event, project or initiative, you will need to submit a proposal. We receive many requests for support each year and, unfortunately, we cannot support every application. As well as helping Fremantle Ports to fairly assess applications from a broad cross-section of organisations, the following guidelines are designed to indicate to our port and wider community the kinds of proposals we are likely to support.
Preferred activities:
· Educational programs or projects, particularly on a maritime theme
· Youth leadership programs or initiatives aimed at giving young people opportunities for self-development
· Environmental projects
· Arts and cultural projects with a local community focus
· Trade-related activities.
Preference will be given to projects and initiatives which:
· Benefit the local community in the general port area (Inner Harbour at Fremantle and Outer Harbour at Kwinana)
· Reflect Fremantle Ports’ Corporate Values and Corporate Objectives
· Reflect community/stakeholder priorities in relation to the Port of Fremantle (eg. caring for the environment)
· Provide appropriate opportunities for recognition of Fremantle Ports’ support and corporate citizenship
· Provide volunteering opportunities to involve Fremantle Ports' employees, where appropriate.
Written applications should be addressed to:
Manager External Affairs, Fremantle Ports, PO Box 95, Fremantle 6959 and should include the following information:
· Details and objectives of the activity or project for which sponsorship is sought
· Name of organisation seeking sponsorship and contact name
· Funding you are seeking. Are there various sponsorship levels? If so, what benefits are available for sponsors within each level?
· How many other sponsors, if any, are involved in this activity? Please provide names of any other confirmed sponsors.
Business development opportunities:
· Relevance of the sponsorship to Fremantle Ports
· What opportunities, if any, are available for our employees to become involved?
Promotion and communications:
· Details of any promotional strategies relating to the project
· Any other opportunities for recognition of Fremantle Ports’ support (e.g. signage, media, merchandise, brochures and other promotional materials).
