Fremantle's Inner and Outer Harbours provide a range of specialised facilities for cargo handling. The Inner Harbour handles containerised cargoes, motor vehicles, livestock and break-bulk. The Outer Harbour handles bulk products.
Fremantle Ports is committed to the use of new technology to further improve the Port's infrastructure and services to meet the changing needs of international trade and to facilitate the smooth flow of trade through the port.
Fremantle Ports works closely with port clients, importers and exporters and other relevant organisations in developing trade to ensure Fremantle continues to be one of the nation's most reliable and fastest growing ports.
Effective transport links are critical to the efficiencies of the working port. Cargoes are transported to and from both the Inner and Outer Harbours by road and rail. As part of its planning for the future, Fremantle Ports is working to ensure that there are efficient transport linkages to and from the Port of Fremantle.
