The ships are part of the Boxer Expeditionary Strike Group. The 4,000 crew are in Fremantle for a short break after five months of conducting maritime security operations in the Arabian Gulf. USS Boxer is a Wasp Class Multi-Purpose Assault Ship. There is no public access to the ships.
