Patrick Terminals' new crane is now arriving by ship at 2pm on Tuesday.
A Panamax container crane will be arriving from Brisbane on Big Lift ship

At this stage, the pilot will be on board at 2pm with the ship arriving in port about 30-60 minutes later and berthing at Berth 7 on North Quay.

The crane weighs 918 tonnes and will be lifted off the ship onto the wharf by cranes on the ship, probably around lunchtime tomorrow (Wednesday 11/11/09).
This crane is not as big as Patrick's post-Panamax crane, which arrived by ship in November 2006, but it will still be a spectacular sight when it arrives.
