The biggest cruise ship ever to enter Fremantle Harbour the P&O liner Adonia - will dock at Fremantles Passenger Terminal on the morning of Saturday, 6 March, for a short visit as part of Fremantle Ports cruise season.
The 2010-passenger super liner is the most modern ship in P&Os fleet, with a wide choice of dining alternatives and entertainment options.
Operating as an adults only child-free liner, it offers sophisticated sports facilities, 14 bars, a court for football, cricket, basketball and volleyball, and a four-deck atrium lobby with glass-fronted lifts. More than 400 of the 1011 cabins have a private balcony and the lavish use of glass on the upper decks provides light and space to the ships interior.
Adonia also has a showpiece theatre, cabaret lounge, an array of informal eating options with round-the-clock service, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre with pool and jacuzzi's looking out over the ship's stern.
With a length of 856 feet and a beam of 106 feet, the 77,000 tonne liner has a maximum speed of 21 knots. Adonia is on a 100-day round voyage from Southampton via the Mediterranean and Red Seas, the Indian Ocean and Far East, visiting Australia and Africa before returning to Southampton via the Atlantic Ocean.
Fremantle will be further graced by the visits of the liners Black Watch on March 10 and Saga Rose on March 14.
