To organise the export or import of cargo, you need to make contact with a licensed customs broker or freight forwarder and ask them for a quote for all fees and costs likely to be incurred. This may include customs and quarantine clearance, tax/duty, wharf fees, cleaning fees, documentation and potentially other fees. Agents can be found through the internet. A list of freight forwarders is also at the Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia.
