The WA Port Operations Task Force is an industry consultative body which was established in 1987 with Terms of Reference to provide a forum for identification, discussion and resolution of port-related issues.
Membership is drawn from across industry and includes representatives of the road transport industry and customs brokers/freight forwarders, stevedores, container park operators, shipping lines, shippers, Fremantle Ports and relevant Government agencies.
In July 2010, Fremantle Ports agreed to take over the hosting and funding of the Task Force from the Department of Transport.
The Task Force meets monthly to consider reports on key issues and determine actions to be undertaken.
