Kwinana Bulk Jetty
-(1000x667).jpg?sfvrsn=37f5812_0)
Kwinana Bulk Jetty consists of 2 common user berths referred to as KBB3 and KBB4. These berths support vessels unloading dry and liquid bulk cargoes, as set out in figure #.
The berths can accommodate vessels of up to 245 metres. Grabs and hoppers are available for hire for geared vessels. From the hoppers, the cargo is either trucked off the berth or transported by conveyor to sheds located at the base of the jetty.
Fremantle Ports has one common user pipeline on the facility. The other pipelines are owned by third parties for the import of caustic soda, anhydrous ammonium and a range of other liquid bulk cargoes. With the closure of the BP refinery, the import of fuel is a growing trade for this facility. Fuel terminal operators including Coogee Chemicals Pty Ltd and Puma Energy are investing significantly in their tanks' storage capacity to support fuel imports.
* The design depth alongside can be subject to siltation and variations to the depth displayed may occur. The Harbour Master’s office can confirm depths alongside particular berths. All depths are related to Low Water Mark Fremantle being 0.2 metres below LAT.
# The Port of Fremantle operates a Dynamic Under Keel Clearance (DUKC) program which nominates specific under-keel criteria for applicable vessels. The Harbour Master’s office can confirm maximum drafts for any given time.
