Port Beach nourishment - skippers take care

Skippers are advised to exercise caution when navigating close to the deep water channel near Port Beach. Dredging will take place from Wednesday 15 February 2023 until mid-March 2023.

Vessels are advised to navigate with caution due to dredging activities taking place around Deep Water Channel area near Port Beach.

The Port Beach Nourishment project involves Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) Modi R dredging within Deep Water Channel (DWC), transiting between DWC and Port Beach, and placement of the material within the swash zone offshore from Port Beach.

Fremantle Ports will be continuously monitoring VHF Ch 12 for communications.

The project will be in operation until the middle of March (2023).
