Fremantle Ports central to launch of Cruise Strategy for WA
As the maritime gateway to Western Australia, Fremantle Ports welcomes Tourism Western Australia’s Western Australian Cruise Tourism Strategic Plan 2023-2033.
Cruising is key to Western Australian tourism and makes a significant economic contribution to our state and local economy.
The Strategic Plan, released on Thursday 20 July 2023, recognises Fremantle Ports’ contribution, attracting tens of thousands of guests annually and connecting travellers with other iconic destinations in regional Western Australia and beyond.
It recognises the diverse range of attractions and activities available to cruise passengers who arrive at stunning Victoria Quay and go on to explore further afield.
Fremantle Ports shares the Plan’s strategic direction, to create a thriving cruise industry that showcases our region’s natural beauty and cultural richness to travellers from around the world and amplify the economic benefits here locally.
We are excited to partner with Tourism Western Australia, cruise lines and the Fremantle business community to develop our unique and sustainable world-class cruise hub into an unmissable destination.
