Prepare to see more fantastic photos of the port after Fremantle Ports has provided a local club with a boost.

Fremantle Camera Club will continue to take fantastic photos and share its works with the community after Fremantle Ports contributed $3,000 towards much-needed equipment.

This contribution supported the purchase of a brand-new computer and projector system to support the Club’s education presentations.

These systems will also be used to display digital entries into the Club’s monthly competitions, which are showcased during club meetings.

Fremantle Camera Club’s recent competition Wharves and Shipping showcased shipping and wharf scenes, with some beautiful images of Fremantle Inner Harbour taking out top awards. Pilot Heading Out by Yuri Grinberg took home a silver prize in the Digital Open category and Sentinels by Ben Clark took home a gold prize in the Digital Subject category.

These images are available for view in Fremantle Camera Club’s September 2019 edition of Freographic.

Fremantle Ports Corporate and Community Relations Manager Neil Stanbury said Fremantle Camera Club was an intrinsic part of our community.

’We just love having members come down to photograph Victoria Quay,’ he said.

‘It was a pleasure to provide sponsorship towards helping the club to continue to produce outstanding work.

‘One of the gold prize winners, Ben Clark, also entered his work Sentinels into our recent Paint the Port art and photography competition. The photography judge was delighted with the quality.
